    Die Bearbeitungszeit für eine papierhafte Rechnung beträgt laut einer Studie des BMIs durchschnittlich 26,8 Minuten. Dazu gehört

    • Verarbeitung des Posteingangs
    • Vorbereitung der inhaltlichen Prüfung
    • formelle Prüfung der Rechnung
    • sachliche Prüfung
    • Freigabe und
    • Letzendlich die Zahlung der Rechnung.

    Diese Prozessschitte können mit der E-Rechnung teilweise reduziert oder sogar gänzlich entfallen. Im Optimalfall kann die Rechnung automatisiert mit der Bestellung verknüpft werden, sodass nur noch weniger als drei Minuten für die Zahlung anfallen und die Freigaben automatisch erfolgen. Im Schnitt dauert die Bearbeitung der E-Rechnung nur noch fünf Minuten, statt zuvor etwa eine halbe Stunde. Unsere Berechnung stellt einen Richtwert dar und beruht auf Quellen des BMIs.
